Overview of the ERC's corporate funding and donation policy
The ERC is a
self supporting
organization, unique in that we operate solely on
donations from individuals, organizations and carefully
selected, reputable companies, practitioners and resources that
support our mission and share our goals of improving the lives
of women and girls with Endometriosis - and of ultimately
finding a cure. Unlike
other organizations, we do not accept funding from GnRH-agonist
manufacturers nor do we accept donations from physicians in
exchange for providing referrals to women and girls in the
global Endometriosis community. To be certain, the ERC has no
relationship with, and has never accepted funding of any sort
from, the makers of the GnRH agonists Lupron, Zoladex or Synarel.
The ERC does work with, and will on occasion receive
unrestricted educational grants from, respected healthcare
companies, physicians, and research sites; however, since our
inception, we have always maintained a clear and steadfast
position that such donations, if and when they occur, do not
obligate or influence the ERC in any way. As always, we do not
recommend or endorse any practitioner, company, treatment method
or organization in any way; rather, we strive to provide
unbiased, informative materials based strictly on the latest
peer reviewed research findings.
